DECthreads HTTP server host system requirements

To install the server, you need an OpenVMS system (VAX or AXP) running version 5.5 or higher and one of the following TCP/IP packages:

DEC TCP/IP services of VMS (UCX)
Cisco Multinet
Attachmate Pathway (Wollongong)
Process Software
CMU TCP/IP

The DECthreads package used by the server is distributed as part of OpenVMS starting with version 5.5.

For OpenVMS versions prior to 7.1, you MUST apply the delta-time patch to LIBRTL. (10,00 day problem).

Due to changes in the pthreads library, OpenVMS 7.2 requires version 3.6b or higher of the web server.

The server software is distributed as C source code and known to build correctly with VAX C 3.2 or DEC C 4.0. To build with the DEC C 5.x may require obtaining updates to your TCP/IP software (such as Multinet) if the package implements private versions of standard header files.
